The LAC, a faculty-run tutoring center, offers tutoring in reading, writing, math, sciences and study skills. Our tutors can help you develop your academic skills, discover patterns and see connections between concepts, figure out what you know, and what you still need to learn.

How to Make an Appointment
If you'd like to make an appointment, stop by HSS 348. You can fill out a registration form and bring it in with you or fill one out when you come in. Please feel free to call us at 338-1993 if you have questions or need help.
Using a holistic approach to learning and development, the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) supports SF State undergraduate students in becoming independent and successful learners by providing skill-based tutoring across disciplines. The LAC works to create an interactive learning environment, offering our tutors the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. Through collaboration with programs, departments and the larger campus community, the LAC works to respond to the diverse needs of SF State students.
